Wowwee! These vintage opal and diamond earrings, circa 1940, are truly spectacular. The mesmerising opals are easy to get lost in! Each opal cluster measures 5mm by 7mm approx and hangs from a diamond set post. The Opals are set within 10 claw settings, in metal tested as 18ct yellow gold, which accentuates the warmth in the colours of the stones. This contrasts to the setting of the diamonds, which is tested as 18ct white gold, bringing out the bright sparkles and twinkles of the 10 brilliant cut diamonds which surround each opal. Beauty has been considered from all angles and each cluster has a wonderfully intricate hand-pierced detailing at the back. The total weight of the diamonds is 1.20ct approx and the length of each earring is 25mm.
